We’ve compiled the most common inquiries regarding our custom pedestals, ordering process, shipping, and warranty to provide you with quick and clear answers.
1. Can any of your pedestal be used outside?
Yes! We can make pedestals from powder coated steel or solid surface that will be weather resistant. For more information, please fill out our Quote Request Form to get in touch with a product specialist.
2. Why use lacquer instead of paint?
Lacquer is thinner than paint and is sprayed on instead of painted with a brush. Spraying on the material gives our products an even coat with no streaks or pinholes. Lacquer is not necessarily glossier than paint but it does have a larger range of sheen options. Our standard lacquers have a satin sheen but can be custom ordered in anything from flat to semi-gloss.
3. Can cylinders pedestals be made with a laminate finish?
We can make laminate pedestals in other shapes but it is a very expensive process. The laminate cylinders need to be hand bent into a curved shape and cannot be bent around smaller diameter.
4. How much weight can these pedestals hold? What if I need it to hold more?
Our standard pedestals can hold up to 250lbs. and can always be reinforced to hold more weight. If all the weight is condensed over one or more small areas, creating pressure points, the pedestal may need specialized internal supports.
When requesting a reinforced pedestal please let us know how much weight the pedestal will need to hold and if the weight will be distributed over the top of the pedestal.
5. What type of laminate is used?
We use vertical grade, high pressure laminate for is durability and scratch resistance. For more information, please visit our Materials That Make A Statement page.
6. Why are custom diameter cylinders so difficult to make?
It is a very expensive and labor-intensive process to make custom diameter cylinders. The material needs to be hand bent into a curved shape and cannot be bent into a tight diameter.
7. Why charge a customization fee?
Our customization fee starts at $50 and may be added to any nonstandard product. This fee covers all costs that are not affected by product quantity. This includes custom color or material, the program for a custom size, and engineering for complex projects.
8. How do I request a custom quote?
Please fill out our Quote Request Form and a product specialist will typically reach out to assist you by the next business day. For more immediate assistance please call us at [insert call rail number].
9. Is color matching an option?
Yes, we can color match any paint color! To do this we will need the paint brand, color number, and color name of the paint you want us to match. Unfortunately, we cannot match ink colors. This includes CMYK, Hex, Pantone, and RGB colors.
Where do I go to pick a custom laminate.
Please go to WilsonArt’s website at pick a High Pressure Laminate (HPL). Once you have found an option you like, you can submit a Quote Request Form. Please include the laminate’s name and number as well as the rest of the project’s details.
10. I do not see anything like my project on the website. Can WW Displays make it for me?
We can make almost anything! Just tell us about your project and, if you have them, please send us any drawings or inspiration pictures.
11. How long does it take for a pedestal to ship?
Lead times my very based on material, quantity, and current production que. The expected lead time for standard products is:
- Laminate – 3 to 5 business days
- Lacquer – 4 to 6 business days
- Natural and Stained Wood – 5 to 7 business days
- Traditional & Scalloped – 6 to 8 business days
- Cylinders – 5 to 7 business days
- Acrylic – 3 to 4 weeks
12. How do I request expedited shipping?
If you know you will need expedited shipping before you place your order or you would like to change the shipping method of an existing order, please submit a Quote Request Form or call [insert call rail number].
13. What if I have a rush order?
If you have a rush order, please call us at [insert call rail number] to talk to a product specialist.
14. What do I do if my order arrives damaged?
If your order arrives damage or you believe there may be damage, please follow the following steps:
Check every item and box for damage but DO NOT dispose of any products or packaging!
Take several pictures of the damaged product and packaging. Including close ups of any visual damage to the product or packaging as well as images of the entire product and shipping carton.

Within the next business day, we will reach out so you can send the pictures to us and we can go over the next steps.
15. What is WW Displays return policy?
Since everything is made to order WW Displays does not typically accept returns. If you are unhappy with your order or received a damaged item, please reach out to us through our Contact Us form or by calling (847) 566-6979.
